Singapore Michelin Guide Results 2016

Singapore Michelin Guide Results 2016: full list

Singapore is known for its incredible food and restaurant scene, but with the first edition of the 2016 Michelin Guide Singapore officially released, intrepid foodies now know where to go for the best food in the Southeast Asian city state. There are over 200 restaurants listed in the guide with twenty-nine receiving either one, two or three coveted Michelin stars. Thanks to Singapore’s multinational culture, thirty-five different cuisines were listed in the guide’s pages, including Australian and Peranakan (a combination of Chinese and Malay cooking), making the city a must-visit for adventurous diners.

The most exciting news about the guide, however, surrounds two unassuming food stalls in Singapore’s streets. Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle might sound like your run of the mill noodle stand, but both were given a Michelin star for their efforts – an incredible feat once you realise a meal at either costs less than £5.
