Brown bread ice cream with blackcurrant curd ripple

Ingredients

  • 75g of unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 750ml of whole milk, or single cream (or a mixture)

Store Cupboard

  • 150g of caster sugar
  • 2 vanilla pods, split lengthways
  • 8 large eggs
  • 215g of light muscovado sugar

Bakery

  • 100g of brown bread, stale, broken roughly into crumbs
