Easy Christmas cake chocolate fudge

25 minutes

  • 300g of chocolate, dark or milk
  • 397g of condensed milk
  • 50g of butter
  • 100g of icing sugar
  • 100g of Christmas cake, leftover, crumbled
  • 25g of mixed whole nuts, broken into small pieces

Break the chocolate into small pieces and place them into a non-stick saucepan along with the condensed milk and butter. Heat very gently until the chocolate and butter has melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy
Beat the icing sugar into the chocolate mixture and then add the crumbled cake and nut, beat well until everything is amalgamated
Pour or spoon the fudge into an 18cm square tin or container that has been lined with greaseproof paper and smooth over the top of the mixture with a knife or spoon
Set aside in a cool place or the fridge for an hour to set, before cutting into squares. Keeps for 2 weeks in a cool place, such as a covered tin or container
