Put everything in a saucepan and gently simmer for one hour. Separate the juice from the figs and reduce until it becomes a thick glaze

Add the figs back to the mix. These can be kept in the fridge in an airtight jar for 2 weeks

To serve, leave the figs at room temperature for 30 minutes. Arrange on your plate and drizzle the reduction on and around the plate
