Warm tofu in garlic and sesame sauce

Ingredients

Warm tofu in garlic sesame sauce

  • 400g of firm tofu
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 handful of spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds, coarsely ground in a pestle and mortar
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce, or tamari for gluten-free diners
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, crushed (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Method

To begin, place the tofu block in a pan and cover completely with water. Place a lid on the pan, bring to a simmer and cook on a low heat

Meanwhile, make the sauce. Crush the garlic to a paste and combine with a pinch of salt. Combine with the remaining ingredients in a small bowl

Drain the tofu and place on a serving dish. Drizzle the sauce over the top and serve immediately
